COVID-19 has changed how we travel, but it hasn't put the brakes on our zeal for exploring. Here are some tips on how to handle travel's new challenges:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as undergoing health assessments.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, position your pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on luggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to take it out of your bag for screening.
• Place any personal items (e.g, keys, phone and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
